Strain review by: DirtFarmer

Seedlings sprouted in wet dirt, under a 140w Sportlite flourescent, where they grew for about a week. Seedlings were then about 4 inches tall and were transplanted into gallon pots and set outside May 20 in very tall grass, against a white wall which faces east, getting full sunshine (plants brought in during extremely windy (45mph+) and rainy (2"+) spring electrical storms).

Seedlings grew rapidly and reached waist high by end of June. Of six seedlings, two tallest were males, four females grew long side branches that grew straight up just as tall as main stem and were put into five-gallon buckets June 28. Pots contained ProMix Peat, perlite, bone meal, blood meal.

Buckets were placed in a cattail marsh and very lightly fertilized with Fox Farm Big Bloom. Flowers were visible and vigorous by August. Each main branch grew 12-inch long to 18-inch long colas. They looked like saguaro cacti with five or six arms, thicker than beer cans by the end of august. September's chilly air and shrinking days set the buds thick and they were resin covered halfway out the fan leaves. Buds were tightly stacked and leaf tips gave a very solid/thick spikey look to the main branches. Smaller shoots at base of braches even had thick big buds.

Plants turned purple when it got cold at night for about a week and got stinkier.

Four plants produced 28 oz. of freezer-cured, dried and trimmed and de-stemmed, frosty, skunky-smelling, colorful (limey, dark greens, some yellow and lavender), killer, delicious-tasting Pro-Quality bud.

Sidebar: During vigorous vegging, each female was pollenated using small paper bag over a bud and a rubber band to hold bag over bud and seal in pollen. Thirty six clones were also taken and brought indoors. Best two are mothers. Two died. Sixteen flowered under two Future Bright 600w HPS w/Sunmaster lamps. Sixteen flowered under two Future Bright 600w HPS Hortilux lamps.

Indoor, mildew was a problem at both locations, but was cured with a Safer brand mildicide, a cleansing of the room and a dehumidifier, right away.

That slowed the vegging for about a week and a half. Once back on track, vegging kicked in fast. Plants bushed out immediately and growth(fertilized in one room with Fox Farm Grow Big and Big Bloom combo and in the other with Bio Grow) was impressive. Structure just like seedling mamas, only kept smaller, with a 14 day veg in both rooms. On day 10 of veg cycle, branches were pruned off and up. On branches that were kept, everything was clipped off branches leaving only the one-third of foliage at tip of branches.

Flowering was accomplished with same lighting, cut back from 24 hours to zero hours for 36 hours, then turned on 11 hours a day. Flowering under 11-hour days lasted 54 days. Then the light was cut to eight hours for six days. Then plants were left in darkness while others were harvested (plants were trimmed of foliage while standing in pots, cut off at base and then hung for later manicuring). Plants got maybe two-feet tall.

Hortilux lamps produced two ounces more bud than Sunmaster (negligible).

Hortilux harvest 20 oz. killer buds, six oz. little, airy, wispy buds used for Bubblehash.

Sunmaster harvest 18 oz. killer buds, eight oz. Bubblehash buds.

Harvest was calculated after the cure:

Plants spent 10 days hanging together in 68-degree Farenheit, dark, 20-percent humidity room. Buds were then clipped off stems into large stainless steel bowls and put back into room for another three to four days, until they were dry, nearly crispy. Then buds were put into mason jars. Biggest buds allowed fit into 32 oz. mason jar. Jars were then put into freezer w/o lids for 24 hours and then taken out individually and transferred into warm dry jars, capped and replaced in freezer. Once lids were on, jars were allowed to freeze for a minimum of two weeks before being weighed.

In the mean time, little buds were frozen in one large stainless bowl, then mixed with de-stemmed, freeze-dried leaves and trimmings from outdoor harvest of four big (five-foot tall plants) crushed into near powder and turned into 20 grams of killer bubble hash, made with and 18v Dewalt cordless drill and a five-gallon paint-stirring attachment. I divided all powdered plant matter into two batches. I mixed each batch four times, once every half-an-hour.

Wet leaves leftover from bubblehash process were thrown into extra-large soup pot, slowly warmed up with two pounds of melting, unsalted, sweet cream butter. when butter was all melted, two quarts of water was added, mixture stirred constantly, brought to boil. A long-handled potato masher (homemade handle) then, constantly mashing the mush, boil for like five minutes, reduce heat from 10 on my electric stove to like three, put heavy lid on pot and simmer for an hour. Drained liquid squeezed mush through a new, clean women's nylon into big stainless bowl and refrigerated over night. Ended up with just under two-and-a-quarter pounds of green butter that produces a heavy-duty body stone, just by buttering toast.

I would recomend this strain to everyone braving the outdoors.

I would not recommend this strain to everyone braving the indoors.

Indoor, the first go-round, not really impressed. But am in mid-cycle of second go 'round under sunmaster lamps. This time went with a 24-day veg, transplanted into three-gallon pot for flower (instead of one-gallon pots). Extra 10 days made a huge difference in yield (I am guessing). Plant is showing beautiful flowers. Estimating two to four ounces of killer buds, per plant at harvest.

The other site, with the hortilux lamps, is also looking better. Kept pot size the same, but vegged longer. Plants looking like they will produce longer, thicker flowers. Definitely better this go 'round, but plants are a little bushy for my tastes indoors.
